To Do List & Daily Planner

Terms & Conditions

Effective 27 October 2026 · Last updated 27 October 2026

These terms form an agreement between you and To Do List & Daily Planner governing your use of the Android app (Google Play package com.dayline.planner) and this website. By installing or using the App you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on devices you own or control, for your own purposes. The App is licensed to you, not sold. All intellectual property in the App, including its name, icon, design and code, remains ours.

You may not copy, sell, rent, lease, sublicense or redistribute the App; modify, reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction; remove any proprietary notice; or use it to build a competing product.

Your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Where they conflict with these terms in respect of distribution or billing, Google’s terms prevail.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, to use the App. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.

3. No account required

The App works without you creating an account with us. Your plan is stored on your device. You are responsible for your device, for keeping it secure, and for any backups you choose to make.

4. Your content

Everything you write in the App — tasks, lists, notes, tags, habits and attachments — remains yours. We claim no ownership of it, we do not access it, and we grant ourselves no licence over it. You are responsible for what you store and for having the right to store it.

5. Premium subscriptions and billing

The App is free to use with advertising. Premium is an optional paid upgrade that removes all ads and lifts the free limits on habits, lists, subtasks, attachments and statistics history.

6. Advertising

The free version displays advertising. Ads are supplied by third parties, and we do not endorse, control or guarantee their content or the products advertised. Your dealings with an advertiser are solely between you and them. How advertising data is handled, and how to change your consent, is described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Backup and restore

The App can export your data to a file, or to a folder it creates in your own Google Drive. Backups are a convenience, not a guarantee.

8. Home launcher

You may optionally set the App as your device’s Home screen. This is entirely your choice, Android asks you to confirm it, and you can change your Home app at any time in Android Settings. We are not responsible for the behaviour, content or availability of other applications you open from it, or for content shown in the optional news section, which comes from Google News.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App to break any law, to infringe anyone’s rights, to store unlawful material, to interfere with or disrupt the App or any service it relies on, to circumvent its paid features or usage limits, or to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system.

10. Third-party services

The App relies on services operated by others, including Google Play, Google Play services, Firebase, Google AdMob, Google Drive, Google News and RevenueCat. Their own terms govern your use of them. We are not responsible for their availability, and features that depend on them may be interrupted, changed or withdrawn.

11. Availability and changes

We may add, change, suspend or discontinue features, or the App as a whole, at any time. We will give reasonable notice of a material change where we can. We do not guarantee the App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, or that reminders will always be delivered — delivery depends on your device, its battery optimisation settings, and Android itself.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, nor for lost data, lost profits, lost opportunities, missed appointments or missed deadlines, arising from your use of or inability to use the App, even if we were advised such damages were possible.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim arose, or INR 1,000. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing limits your mandatory rights as a consumer.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against claims, damages, losses and reasonable costs arising from your misuse of the App, your breach of these terms, or your infringement of a third party’s rights.

15. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your licence if you materially breach these terms. On termination the licence in section 1 ends; data already on your device remains yours, and any active subscription continues to be governed by Google Play until it expires or you cancel it.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top of this page will change, and where the change is material we will give notice inside the App before it takes effect. Continuing to use the App after that means you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the App and cancel any subscription.

17. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts at India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of your own country’s law and may bring proceedings in your local courts.

Before starting any formal proceedings, please email dev.software40@gmail.com so we can try to resolve the matter directly.

18. General

If any provision is found unenforceable, it is severed and the rest remains in force. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the App and replace any earlier version.
